I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today’s world; your personality, your sense of humor, and most importantly, your whole heart.
Born and raised in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, I'm a Minnesota girl at the core. A tender-hearted explorer of life's peaks and valleys, I believe that life is meant to be FELT. I appreciate the warmth, smell and ambiance of a wood-burning stove while cuddled in a flannel blanket on a cold winter's night. I'm an ever-optimist with a realistic sprinkling of "pessimistic days". I love reading, handwork, traveling, americana folk music, talk radio, dala horses and a vegan homemade chai tea in my hands (preferably with a friend or loved one next to me to share in the warmth).Â

I'm a wanna-be homesteader, an amateur homeschooler to my two energetic boys, a striving "real food" foodie, an outdoor enthusiast, and a mama who gives her all to her family while still firmly believing in the age old saying, "If mama ain't happy, nobody happy" (I'm talking about self-care people!)Â
In other parts of my life, I'm a birth and postpartum doula, a yoga instructor and a LAMAZE-certified childbirth educator (check me out at www.happyseedsarah.com)

As the parent who works hard to "bring home the dough", Tom was once a stay-at-home parent so he has his own "domesticated perspectives" to bring to the table. This guy is sensitive, grounding, realistic and warm. He brings a feeling of steadiness and safety to our family. We love him so.

An 8-year-old boy with a hugely sensitive and compassionate heart, Odin seems to be a happy soul as a homeschooled kid. He loves the great outdoors, exploring, creating and making others laugh. With boundless amounts of energy, this kid will keep you on your toes!
VIGGO EDISON

This 4-year-old independent spirit really thinks HE runs the home. He's outgoing, opinionated, and incredibly loving. You're bound to get endless amounts of kisses with this little one around. He'll be sure to give you a few intense temper tantrums too though. You know...just to keep it real.
KASHI

The "old lady" of the house, Kashi puts up with quite a bit. A fan of long walks and being included in EVERYTHING, she is Odin's best friend. As loyal as ever and a hater of buses (they're too loud), she will lick you until you can't take it anymore. It's her way of showing her love. And does she have a lot of love to give!

These (and a few other) ladies found their way to us via dear friends that were no longer in a situation to house them. The brood consists of Henny Penny, Red, Spot, Sassy and Rosie. Although we often hope for more eggs than they're giving, we could spend HOURS watching them peck and scratch around.
